This bitch was mated to the famous Flatcoat Pewcroft Puzzler to produce the interbred Pewcroft Prong born 10 Mar 1939. There are several good reasons to Believe that Prong was the same bitch as Pewcroft Plague who was registered as a pure bred Flatcoat born 22 Mar 1939. According to a late letter from her breeder Stanley O'Neill Plague was out of "a more or less purebred Labrador" and sired by Puzzler. The descendants of Plague provided the main Foundation stock for the post war Flatcoat.
