Katy is a spunky little girl who loves to retrieve! Her favorite things are birds, guns/gunshots, duck calls, whistles, hanging out with the other dog and cats, and of course snuggles. She has recently gotten into watching hunting and hunt test videos on the TV with us.
She has a very high drive to learn and please. She is all around awesome dog to work with and learn from being our first dog we have trained ourselves we have trained to this level.
In 2021 she passed all her AKC Junior Hunt Tests (4/4) and HRC Started Hunt Tests (4/4). She had both her JH and SHR titles before she was 13 months old. In 2022 she received her HR title at just over 2 years old (she went 3/4 to get title).
So far in the 2021 hunting season she has been successful per hunting circumstances and has been a joy to hunt with. We have to tell her when it is time to take a break though because she will just keep hunting otherwise.
She started naturally pointing at about 7 months of age.
She loves to work/train daily. She is adamant about not going more than a day between training or hunting sessions. Its all a reward for her to train, in her eyes.
She is wonderful to have in the house. She believes she is still a lap dog and is a great snuggler.
