Petey was our pick puppy out of our Stud Ryker. we took him home at 6 weeks old, and knew instantly, that he was special. Petey has a great personality and loves people. He has always been bold, confident, clean, quiet and bird crazy.

He loves the retriever work whether it's marks or blinds, he runs them with equal enthusiasm and is a team player. if that's not enough he also excels in the upland, high hunt drive, naturally quartering, staunch, intense natural point, with great stamina. Additionally, he's good looking and intelligent. yes, for me, Petey checks all of the boxes.

His accomplishments speak for themselves;
HRC Hunting Retriever Champion 15 finished passes, International Grand fall of 2022 and spring 2023, both times no zeros but 2nd set of 1's in the 4th series.
AKC Master Hunter 12 Master passes, qualified for 2023 Master National and had a major injury in the 2nd series. already has 3 passes for the 2025 Master National

Highlighting Petey's character and qualities, after an accident, surgery, and multiple complications the end of 2023. We couldn't get him back in training until summer of 2024. From the end of July, until the beginning of October Petey went 3/3 in AKC Master, 4/4 in HRC finished, and 3/3 in APLA master. Immediately after the hunt test season we guided wild pheasant hunts in S Dakota, together with a group of guides and dogs we helped harvest over 3,000 wild birds.

Petey epitomizes the versatility of the Labrador Retriever, but at the end of the day, He's just my hunting buddy!
